It was the crew of Phoenix’s turn on Saturday to act instinctively: Peter Green, Bill Bennet, Craig, Scotty and David
A small fishing boat with 2 young men on board capsized and were in the water for at least 30 minutes with just about no hope when the crew of Phoenix spotted a hand waving. The fisherman was to say later that he was about to give up. 2 lives saved. Well done!!
The reaction from the crew priceless: “ When you see someone in need, instinctively you go and help out and it was our privilege to be there at the right time.”
The Soiree
The big bi annual social night - The White Party with a Beatles theme was a fantastic event and well attended by over 160 people and well delivered by our events team consisting of Social committee members and others , Bev, Sophie, Sheryl and all the rest well done. The Rocks delivered yet again, well done.
