Membership Information
The Mornington Yacht Club is located in a most picturesque part of Port Phillip Bay and provides excellent facilities, yachting activities for all ages and levels of experience and a great social environment. Established in 1946 it continues to grow and change in line with members' needs.
Our Values
Our key values are Family, Friendship and Sailing. We promote a high standard of safe yacht racing for all age groups and provide affordable family oriented sailing and social activities. An active club which is valued by its members, the Mornington community, and others interested in the sport of sailing. Predominantly, but not exclusively, a home for keel boats, trailable yachts, off the beach boats, and class racing.
Facilities
Great Sailing and a Great Harbour.
Breakfast/Coffee/Lunch and Dinner available 7 days a week. (Please contact MYC to see if this differs due to covid)
Clubhouse including kitchen, bar and decking overlooking Mornington Harbour.

Sailing (October to May)
Saturdays - Keelboats, Trailable, Flying Fifteens, Etchells.

Thursday evenings (during daylight saving) - Keelboats, Trailables, Etchells. Flying Fifteens
Learn to Sail for Adults, Youth & Juniors
As a Yachting Australia registered training establishment, MYC conducts sailing classes for both Juniors and Adults including the Junior Tackers program.
Membership Categories
SENIOR and FAMILY memberships are designed for members who wish to avail themselves of all facilities and events and participate in the management of the club. A family unit consists of a senior member, partner and/or children eligible to be a junior, youth or student members.
YOUTH memberships are for young people who are not part of a family membership. There are two categories of Youth; age under 25yrs and age 26yrs to 29yrs.
CREW (non voting) membership is available to persons who wish to crew on yachts during all club racing.
AFFILIATE (non voting) membership is a non sailing membership for persons who are members of other yacht clubs who wish to enjoy the benefits of a Social membership.
SOCIAL (non voting) membership is non sailing membership for persons who wish to participate in MYC social activities.
KAYAK (non voting) membership is a non sailing membership for persons who wish to store a kayak in the boat shed or yard + enjoy the benefits of a Social membership.
