On what appeared to have the potential to be a wet evening, ended up being a very enjoyable night on the water.
For many boats this was the first hit out of the new season, although a smaller than usual flotilla (17 boats) had taken to the water, the competition was still fierce. It might have been the winter cob webs that led to Pete Sydes passing the line early, no bottle of wine tonight for you!
It was a slow start, the flotilla was spread out by the first mark, but with winds building the fleet begun to bunch up, making for a fun last dash to the line.
In the end the night was won by Gavin (Allure), in second Trevor/Graeme (Jessie) and Simon Lynch (April).
