A really great opening thanks to the Social Committee, The Commodore , Boat Owners , Mornington Secondary College Band, members and Special Guests that attended.
The Hon David Morris MP officially opened the Season and our popular Rev Jim Catford blessed the fleet for his 5th year in a row. Those recognised at the ceremony were:
25 years Membership - Jeremy Rae, Jan Morris, Jenny Mason, Scott White, Peter De Lange, Roger McGaw, Maurice Edgington, Tim Humphris
50 Years Membership - John Lynch, Trevor Neate, Rowley Morris
Peter De Lange - His service to the members in the Yard as the Shipwright
Keith Ross - His long Service in the Yard and on the Committee. Wayne, Keith's son accepted the award for Keith.
Club Members of the Year - Jan Alexander, John and DI Lynch, Ray Harvey, David Campbell, Stuart Gooley and Barbara Nash.
Thank you to our Piper, Holly Heron singing one of the best renditions I have ever heard of the National Anthem.
