Thought the club might like these photos. I recently found the negatives and had them digitised.
The back story is that it turns out that my Dad, Geoffrey Dawson who was a member of MYC for a few years in his early 20s (1950 – 53ish) and co-owned a heavy weight sharpie with two others. I believe he bought it from Kevin Willey. Dad’s observation was that there was no life-jackets required in those days, so it was best to know how to swim!
