The new Mark Hodgson, Beneteau 48 :Something Blue" arrived for its first race and was immediately surrounded by the Tackers 3 Optis and they were so in awe with its beauty 2 of the 3 capsized.
Eicks was expecting GT to make a special appearance having only recently returned from a 3rd at the Worlds on "Scratch" but understandably was a late withdrawal.
Course 2R was set by RO Steve giving the longest downwind leg possible and I expect frustrating all those wanting to surf the waves with Spinnakers in near perfect conditions. By the final leg the wind was shifting to the East and made it primarily a long Port windward beat .

Also out there was the Solo Feva man David Griersmith back again sail training in the harbour which was fabulous to see , the Etchell "Cleanskin" with Cat sailor Phil Johnson at the helm and the 420 flying with Sophie , Ella , Jack and Bunny chasing in the coach boat.
