![]() RMIT Architectural Students have undertaken a real live project in association with the Mornington Sea Scouts in designing a new community facility that will accommodate the growing demand of Junior and Youth seaside activities . MYC is involved as it includes new storage to replace the Opti Tin Sheds. The Student Architects have been creative within the brief given and come up with some brilliant ideas and concepts that are worth serious consideration. Including a scenic vantage point at the end of the Main Street looking north to the city skyline and a tower symbolizing a yacht mast that can be seen along Main Street and a lift for all inclusive access to the facility and beach. The concepts have been presented to the Council and whilst it is only early stages the facilities on scout Beach are looking a whole lot better than the current tin sheds and scout hall that badly needs updating for Mornington's younger-set.
