Saturday Racing Update October 5th 2019
.A smaller fleet than usual headed to the start line for the first Aggregate series race on Saturday for Division 1,2 and 3. It may have been the confusing forecast or a few cobwebs, but hopefully numbers will build in future weeks.
A combined division 1 & 2 start with most of the fleet starting at the boat end were headed early with Morticia getting off to a flying start from the pin end of the line. The world smallest code flag R in the world saw division 3 competitors reaching for the binoculars. Luckily starter John Mills must have had a suitable colored handkerchief in his pocket. Once again the fleet was split with the left hand side of the course proving favorable getting Beau Brummell to the top mark well ahead. There was tight racing in Division 3 with the lead changing a number of times during the race.
Just a reminder to all skippers and crew to make sure your paperwork is up to date and lodged with the club. Maybe a quick double check is in order. It would be a shame to miss out on a result after a hard day on the water.
