Lakeside Sailing Club – Pakenham
On 10th November, Krista Bailey was the guest of honour at the Lakeside Sailing Club in Pakenham (yes they do have a lake, and now a sailing club). Krista is a past champion in a number of divisions of the Hansa class of dinghy, is a volunteer with MYC Sailability, and participates in Sailability when it operates at MYC on a Sunday. The occasion was the opening of their new floating pontoon jetty that will enable people of all abilities to access their small fleet of sailing dinghies on the lake. The occasion had a wide mixture of people in attendance……. local State MP, the Mayor, President of Sailability Victoria, and of course, members and volunteers with the Sailing Club. Krista had the honour of cutting the ribbon, and declaring the new facility open for business.
