On Thursday last week, our Sailability Program had the pleasure of hosting a special boating day for 8 children from The Children First Foundation. This is the Foundation that was previously linked with Moira Kelly, and is instrumental in bringing children to Australia for life changing surgery.
The kids had an absolutely fantastic time on the water, doing both sailing in the Hansa dinghies, as well “power boating” in Frosty. The children ranged in age from 10 to 16, and came from P N G, Tonga, Zambia, the Philippines, Indonesia and Palestine. Unfortunately, because of sensitivities, no photos are available.
It was such a happy and memorable experience for them, and Pat and Michelle their main carers.
