Great MYC results over multiple fleets. Click here for results
Rhett Gowans first in Laser Radial. Denver James was 5th in Laser 4.7 with one heat win.
Jacko was seen in his 1980's disco pink trapeze harness filling in for injured Ella and helping Sophie to 3rd in the 420s.
Lachie came out with a second with very tight final scores between the top three in the Open Optis. Missed first by a few centimetres. Jack Eik was 5th and MYC had 7 in top dozen.
In the Intermediate Optis we can claim 1,2,3 with Millie Evenden, McKenzie Heyes and Jay James taking the honours. Thomas Hutchison was in the mix too before a classic nosedive in the last race pushed him down to 5th. The photos attached are the Intermediates waiting for wind trying to walk the bow and climb their masts! Didn't seem too fussed about the temperature of melted snow. They didn't seem to linger in the water though.
Then the greens just had fun. Seemed like half were MYC which is a great look for the future. Chris Coombs was seen skimming the lake in an Open Bic. Lots of MYC kids with their own firsts, whether it be first regatta, first time away, first in a 420 etc. Our 420 fleet is building with 5 MYC boats in a fleet of 14. And as well, the new RIB was delivered from Sydney
