Last Sunday the MYC Training Vessel Wish Two was engaged with on water sail training. Doug Pickford was on the helm and taking students through Tacking and gybing. On one tack the headsail was not released and therefore back winded causing the boat to lay over. The main sheet was unable to be released at the time and the vessel took excessive water through the cockpit entrance. Unfortunately it got to the stage the vessel had taken so much water it could not be righted. Doug called for rescue and

Many thanks to MYC member Martin Bryant, who called the office and let Bolts and I know that a boat was sinking, as the water was cold and had it gone the bottom the situation could have been worse.
Great team that made a bad day look just fine with boat back on trailer.
