Have you heard our secret? We take you places!
The ORCV holiday season events have an event to suit everyone, a bay passage race, a short coastal sprint and a longer offshore race. You can compete double-handed, 4+autohelm or fully crewed.
December 26 - ORCV Cock of the Bay - Some say, there’s no better way to work off the excesses of Christmas day. The 34nm passage sails past major bayside locations as you travel from Port Melbourne to Blairgowrie. Entries are now open here https://www.orcv.org.au/sailing/races/boxingday-dash-cock-of-the-bay
Compete for the oldest race in Australia and the 113-year-old Rudder Cup.
Sail the 195nm to Devonport on this category 2 race. Cruise then on through Tasmania or sail back to Melbourne for New Year. Normal entries close 30th November, late entries accepted only up to 9am on December 7th. Enter here https://www.orcv.org.au/deveonport-about-the-cup
Try Ocean Sailing and join the fleet for this 55nm day coastal race that starts in daylight and will have you home by night. Being coastal and category 3, these races are for those that wish to try offshore sailing or wish to continue to develop their equipment and crew. Entries will be open this week here https://www.orcv.org.au/about-the-series
The traditions of a destination party will be different this year in line with Government regulations and our partner club requirements. Stay tuned to find out more.
