We now turn our attention to upskilling crews both in the classroom and through the Winter Series passage races. Entries for the Discount Yachting Winter Series and race 1 are open.
Throughout winter, we have training on Navionics, Fundamentals of Navigation, Weather for Sailors with Robin Hewitt, Safety & Sea Survival, Practical Hands-on Radio and the Bowman Essentials.
With the Bowman’s Essential, Peter is keen to use this course to encourage the younger members of the club to get inspired and use the bow position as a pathway to step up to keelboat racing. The ORCV is sponsoring 5 places in this course towards supporting youth members (25 years or younger) to join the upcoming Bowman’s course.
Get in contact with us if you’d like to take up one of these 5 places on offer.
