Rising Victoria Sailing star and MYC member Nick Sharman has been offered a place in the upcoming Club VIODA / YV Scholarship programme.
This is great initiative that will support past Opti sailors, and current Opti instructors, in their personal development and enable them to give back to a class they have proven commitment to. The purpose of the Scholarship is to offer the opportunity to become a Qualified Yachting Australia Club Coach.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Yachting Australia Club Coaches Qualification
• Powerboat Handling / Safety Boat Qualification (if not already held)
• Senior First Aid Certificate (if not already held)
OBLIGATIONS:
• SUPPORT VIODA and YV coaching needs as a priority, this is in particular around major VIODA/YV events.
• SUPPORT MYC in their club activities to assist in developing their Optimist fleet in size and quality
