After confirmation from CYCA that there was room to berth Mixed Nuts (Tim and Lisa O'Grady), Messin About (Paul and Noleen Copeland) and Jenda (Graham and Tonia Vertigan) we decided to head north after Christmas to spend a week on Sydney Harbour.
After a two day trip by road we rendezvoused at Rose Bay to launch and sailed to Rushcutters Bay where the CYCA made us welcome for the next week. Whilst the NYE fireworks were a highlight, Sydney Harbour as a cruising destination has a lot to offer including the excitement of sailing on one of the busiest water ways in the world, right in the middle of one of the most spectacular cities on earth, whilst at the same time being able to find isolated anchorages that seem miles from anywhere. All three boats even took the opportunity to head out to the heads and offshore during our stay.
