Graeme Lyell, Mornington Sailability
On a recent sleepy Sunday, the team of volunteers from MYC Sailability hosted a sausage sizzle at Bunnings Mornington. In total, 16 volunteers, and one very obliging wife, worked across 6 shifts to feed the masses of Sunday shoppers dropping into Bunnings. The stats for the day included 750 sausages, naturally cooked to perfection, and delivered to those hungry faces using 46 loaves of bread. Total takings were just over $2,100, with a net profit of about $1,450. A great effort, from a bunch of very dedicated volunteers, and invaluable funds for our Sailability Program.
