Good afternoon everyone and thank you for those who attended and put in their apologies, the AGM went very well where all motions were passed.
A very big thank you to Mal Hart of Hart Marine for sponsoring the AGM and Networking function, we are highly appreciative of his generous support for this event. These types of events demonstrate to industry and community leaders we , the MPMA, are a credible and thoughtful body that wants to sensibly grow the local economy and employment.
We thank Wayne Hann from Martha Cove for his generous offer to sponsor the next networking function and we will take up his offer in November or thereabouts. Watch this space for further news.
Our past Chaiperson, Stefan Borzecki, will attend the Council meeting next Tuesday with myself, where Council will hopefully support the Boat Ramp Feasibility Study & Options Report's Top 3 Priorities. I will keep you posted on this matter.
I would like to extend a special thank you to Stefan for his stewardship of the MPMA over the past 3-4 years, he has been a fabulous contributor and great strategist for keeping the MPMA focused on practical, real projects and goals. Stefan will step back, slightly, by serving on the Executive Board with myself, Irene Ho, Tim Phillips, Mal Hart, Chirs Procter and Ted Banks.
Again thank you Stefan we are deeply grateful for your support and input over these years, enjoy a slightly quieter and more relaxed life
