Well done to our MYC girls!!!
The Inaugural Commode's Challenge was held at SYC on the weekend in what started out as a lovely 10 knot northerly which quickly turned into winds reaching up to 35 knots and consequently resulting in racing being abandoned. One race was completed before the second race was abandoned when the breeze picked up with SYC coming away with the only race win convincingly beating the other teams competing from Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron, Mornington Yacht Club, Royal Brighton Yacht Club and Royal Geelong Yacht Club. Unfortunately due to the racing being cut short, there were insufficient races completed to constitute the series, which will see all teams coming back on July 31 for take two of the Inaugural Commodore's Challenge! Thanks to SYC Commodore, Kate Mitchell, SYC WISC representative, Megan Aulich and our Race Officer, Steve Aulich for all of their effort in organising the Commodore's Challenge! We would like to thank Matt Roberts Cilfton from EP Photography, for coming and taking all these photos. Well done to our MYC girls!!! Comments are closed.
