Purpose of GOSS: to provide a sailing program for girls & women that is accessible, fun and social; and to encourage youth, women and families to continue sailing for improved health and wellbeing.
The GOSS idea was formed while talking to some mums at my daughter’s kindergarten. Many of us had varying levels of sailing experience and spoke of how much we enjoy sailing, the on-water and certainly the social aspect, and how we missed being able to head out on the water. Becoming mums had certainly restricted our times to get out on the water, with the day to day running of our families and workplaces taking priority.
I then started to talk with other women about ‘GOSS’ and discovered that even after grown up children having ‘left the nest’ they hadn’t had the opportunity to get back out on the water.
So, GOSS has been developed to provide this opportunity. The opportunity to enable women to come and have their little ones watched over while they take a little time out, to create new friendships, get back onto the water or start a new journey, or just come to a wonderful venue with a great group of like-minded women and enjoy great coffee and of course goss.
Come and enjoy – The fun has begin. Click here for todays Photo Gallery
