We had a huge weekend at MYC this weekend! We played host to over 130 yachts, mostly sailed by children. As well as the traditional Schnapper Point Regatta (SPR), this year we were asked to host the first Australian Sailing 'Victorian Junior Carnival'. This event was designed as a fun carnival for those children graduating from their learn to sail programs.
The kids enjoyed a "Destination Sail" to Mills Beach, starting off under the “Bridge of Doom”, then more games in the shallows of Mother’s beach. At the same time the older kids, joined by a few sailors with disabilities, competed in the Schnapper Point Regatta which many of you know is an annual event held here at MYC. This year was a bit more relaxed with famous faces on the buoys, music and treats for the kids between the serious racing.
A BIG thank you to all involved for making the weekend a great success!
