As many of you are aware the Historical Committee with the assistance of David Campbell have been filming a new 70th Birthday Documentary and also preparing the exhibition for the Back to Mornington YC Weekend. As part of the celebrations the aim was for one of Founding members John Berry now living in Queensland.
Unfortunately John could not attend but fortunately sent this video and some wonderful letters instead. John wrote " ...My 15 year old grand daughter Meagan did all the hard stuff. All I did was stand and deliver. I just wish my voice was a bit clearer. It used to be pretty good some years ago. Then I wish I had a bit more hair. I lost it all, quite suddenly about 5 years ago. I'm too old to worry about those silly things now. Vanity of vanities, the preacher said. All is vanity".
Play the video to your hearts content and then some. Have a laugh! It wont bother me in the slightest. All I am interested in is making a worthwhile contribution to the 70th Birthday celebrations. All celebrations are worth while , they lift the spirit , inspire ideas and do a lot of good..."
