Join our Junior & Youth Sailors at Mornington Yacht Club to keep up your skills and learn during the winter!

2025-2026 Winter Camps

Don't let the cold keep you off the water! Mornington Yacht Club's Winter Training Camps give our Junior and Youth sailors the chance to keep sailing, keep improving, and keep having fun all season long. Across four camps running from May through September, sailors of all levels — from Green Fleet Optimists through to 420s and 29ers, get hands-on coaching from our experienced team, building skills, confidence and race craft ahead of the summer season.

Plan ahead and save. Book in for all camps in your class up front and you'll pay less overall than booking each session separately, so if you know your sailor is in it for the whole winter, locking in early is the smart way to go.
Whether your sailor is just starting out or pushing for the podium, our winter camps are the perfect way to stay sharp, meet fellow sailors, and make the most of the off-season.

Prices per camp
You have the choice of booking into each of the camps individually or, if you'd like to attend our June, July and September camps, there's a discount for booking all 3 in advance. Prices per class are listed below

Single handed boats: Ilcas and Optis
3 sessions - June, July and September - $495
or if booked separately, $165 for June and July sessions and $230 for the September session

420 boats (per sailor)
 $160 for the September session

29er boats (per sailor)
3 sessions - June and July and September - $450
Or $180 for the 1st session, $166.50 for June and July, $200 for the September session
