SPR Regatta Volunteers - Help us make the regatta a success

Schnapper Point Regatta is powered by volunteers, with roles available both on and off the water. Whether you have race experience or are simply keen to help, there’s a place for you.
On the Water

• Race management support (signal boat, finish boat, course recording)
• Mark-laying boat crew
• Safety boat skippers and crew
• On-water radio communications and support

Shore-Based Support

• Race office and results assistance
• Check-in and registration
• Launch and recovery support at the ramp and beach
• Junior sailor and parent support (Opti and Green Fleet)

Event & Operations

• Volunteer coordination and check-in
• BBQ and catering support
• Presentation setup and pack-down
• General event support across the weekend

Media & Communications

• Photography and content capture
• Social media updates
• PA and announcement support

What you’ll need

• A Working With Children Check (WWCC) for roles involving junior sailors
• A current powerboat licence if you are skippering a vessel
• A marine radio licence is ideal, but not required
  

You can volunteer for a few hours or a full day, and many roles don’t require sailing experience. Briefings and support will be provided, and we’ll help match you to a role that suits your skills and availability.
