Mornington Yacht Club provides professional and highly enjoyable sailing programs purposed for primary and secondary schools. These include learn to sail experiences, up to school teams racing training with a coach.
The programs are customised to the needs of each school and can range from a one day sailing experience to a four day session program run over multiple days in a row or one day a week for four weeks. If the course options listed below do not meet the needs of your school please contact us, our instructing team have access to PE and OED teachers who can create a personalised program for your school. Sporting Schools Partnership Mornington Yacht Club is a registered provider with Sporting Schools, Australia’s national school-based sports participation program. We can deliver structured and engaging sailing programs in partnership with Sporting Schools, designed to introduce students to sailing in a safe, inclusive, and fun environment. Through Sporting Schools, we can help schools access funding and deliver high-quality programs aligned with the national curriculum and Active Schools framework. Primary school programs are conducted in our 16 optimist training dinghies, and the programs we offer include:

MYC 1 day Transition Experience (3x Rotations, including sailing, SUP/Kayak & Beach) However, again if these options don't suit your needs please contact us below for a personalised program. Gives students a taste of sailing, learning a little bit about boats, water and boat safety whilst getting physical in the great outdoors. |
Secondary students use MYC's 6 pacer dinghies, with 2-3 students in each boat.
With older students comes more flexibility. Our secondary programs can be a single day/afternoon experience or a numerous day course, and can include sailing, SUP, and power-boating. Some general programs are listed below with costs, but if these do not fit your requirements please contact us to create a personalized program. Along with brand new pacer dinghies, we also have national level coaches and teams racing champions which are available for schools which wish to train for the schools teams racing competitions.
