From engine confidence and navigation to knots, safety and seamanship, these practical, hands-on sessions are designed to make sailing safer, easier and more enjoyable.

Morning Splice - An Introduction to Dyneema Splicing
Join us at Mornington Yacht Club for a hands-on introduction to Dyneema rope splicing.
Whether you're completely new to splicing or curious to learn modern rope techniques used onboard, this beginner-friendly morning session will give you the fundamentals to get started.
Over the course of the session, participants will learn:
• The fundamentals of Dyneema rope splicing
• How to make your own soft shackle
• Modern applications of Dyneema rope onboard
• Essential rope handling and splicing techniques
• When and why different techniques are used
No prior experience required — just curiosity and a willingness to learn.

This hands-on workshop covers inboards motors, focusing on practical knowledge every sailor should have — whether you race, cruise or simply rely on your engine to get home.
