While most of us are entering the hibernation period of the sailing season we will set about integrating our new members into our activities over winter in preparation for next season. Sub-committees will be addressing the future sailing program which is expected in particular to revitalize long distance racing and cruising events for both yachts and power boats.
Martha Cove members are welcome now to join in social events including the Friday Night Draw, Trivia Nights and music events. The Thursday Action Group (TAG) team lead by Laurie White can always do with some extra help and the Sailability fraternity lead by Brian Fraser and Graeme Lyell welcome volunteers.
Importantly our Training and Development team provides an excellent avenue for young children and youths to experience and learn the art of sailing with qualified instructors.
Women on the Water (WOW) has enabled many women to experience sailing this year and the provision of “Jensminc” an S80 keelboat has been frequently been out on the water.
Sarah Grant and her team with Tayla Harris and Michelle Levenspiel provide welcoming guidance navigating and facilitating our many activities so don’t hesitate to get in touch.
