There must have been at least 20 kids in boats or on the beach enjoying the evening. Together with heaps of parents, snags and great conversations I think we have all created something special. Introducing music on the beach this session was a great idea; let’s keep it on the checklist for each session...at the rate we are going I reckon it won’t be long before we install a disco ball in the opti shed!
Will White officially named his boat Megabyte! Great job Sophie getting that done.
On the water we had Greg Sharman, Henry Heron, Sophie Jackson and of course Ella. They had a few boats to muster but as always had the kids engaged...you make it look so easy.
A special mention to Jay Polson who is definitely getting the “Boom-ed” award this year. A fat lip all weekend isn’t enough to stop this kid; I hear Jay is keen to keep sailing…good on you Jay, we look forward to seeing you next week.
Great to see Samuel Ede back and Abby & Sarah Young check out the fun.
Thanks Mel for coming along for a chat.
REMINDER: There is no session this coming Friday (9 March) due to the Optimist State Championship over the long weekend. For all those that have entered…Have FUN!!!
Next Friday Fun/Ella’s Fun Coaching will be 16 March; I will send out some details closer to the date.
Cheers, Bret
