The Australian Optimist Girls Squad (team of 5 sailors) competed in the Stack Winter Championships Regatta at Murrays Bay Yacht Club in New Zealand over the weekend.
A gig congratulations goes to MYC member Sophie McKenzie who in a 55 boat fleet finished in 11th place overall and 2nd girl!
The Australian girls took out 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed girls at the regatta. Queensland Opti sailor Blake Wilson took out first place overall, coming off her first place at NSW Youths Regatta last weekend.
