The Lynch name is synonymous with MYC across three generations. Nicholas's grandfather, Neil Brownbill, and his father John both served as Commodore, with John and his wife Diana now honoured as Life Members. Nicholas grew up at the club, spending every Saturday crewing for Stuart Gooley before launching his real estate career in 1985 with Brett McEwing who at the time owned a 3/4 tone yacht called Fire & Ice.
