MORNINGTON YACHT CLUB FOUNDATION MEMBER SAILING INFRASTRUCTURE APPEAL
"Wally" provides services to all areas of the Club including supporting our Sailability program and our junior sailors. In addition "Retriever" needs new instruments and other important repairs.
In addition the Foundation wishes to continue its program of assisting our elite sailors compete in important regattas to further develop their sailing careers. As an example Lily and Matilda Richardson are members of the Australian Youth Sailing Team and are to compete in the Youth World Championships in Gdynia
in Poland in July. In the lead up to the Worlds they will compete in the New Zealand Nationals, they will train in Japan, then compete in Keil Week in Germany and the World 420 Championships in Portugal. Although they will obtain some financial assistance from Australian Sailing, which covers the training camp in Japan, the costs of this campaign are substantial.
We are requesting donations to assist the Foundation in raising the necessary funds to replace and repair our sailing infrastructure. A suggested donation is $100 per member but please give whatever you can. Donations made through the Mornington Yacht Club Foundation site at the Australian Sports Foundation are tax deductable.
You can access this site directly on the internet to make your donation https://asf.org.au/donate/mornington-yacht-club-foundation/
Or alternatively complete the attached donation form and post to the ASF (see bottom of form for the address) or send to the Club office who will forward on to the ASF.
The Foundation will match contributions made to a total of $5,000. This will mean, for a member on a 30% tax rate a donation of $100 (net cost to the member of $70) will contribute $200 to this project until the Foundation's cap of $5,000 is reached.
Please give what you can to this worthwhile project.
