Saturdays weather turned out to be half reasonable for the first Kids on Keelboats Race. Thanks to Cam McKenzie for the inspiration and Steve Bardsley for the advertising. As Bill Bennett said, Saturday sailors don’t know Sunday, and Sunday don’t know Saturday. They sure do now!
Thanks to all the big boats for hosting the kids. Everyone looked like they had fun, a great get together. A special mention to Phoenix who only had kids steer. Might mention an Optimist sailor won the start, well done Jazzy. Next time we might have to award the first boat with a junior helm. Many adults were impressed at the level of our MYC kid’s sailing.
